Here are a few more promised pictures. We didn’t take our nice camera to the hospital, so unfortunately our first pictures are mostly out of focus…

Here is Allani in the hospital about 22 hours after her big entrance into the world. Sorry it’s a little blurry. Still cute, though!

Here is the cute big brother warming up to his new role. At first he was cautious and not really sure what to think. But now he is excited and he seems to understand that what we have been telling him about and preparing him for has finally happened. He wants to hold her and to share his books with her and he has even sung Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star to her a couple of times. The first night home he even asked if “the baby sister” could sleep in his bed with him.

Here she is getting acquainted with her bassinet and her new world. She was a little less than 2 days old.

Great Great Grandma Francom
Here is yet another reason that Hyrum is a very lucky little boy. Last weekend he got to meet his Great, Great Grandma Francom. I think there aren’t too many people who can say that. She was in town for the weekend and my grandma put on a surprise birthday party for her (As a side note- her birthday is also my brother’s birthday, so we thought it would be neat for our baby to have the same birthday. Apparently she doesn’t think so. In fact, so many people in our family have birthdays this week… maybe that is why she is waiting… to be original).

I asked Grandma Francom how many great great grandchildren she has. She said she has more than 60 great grandchildren last she checked, but the number grows so often she’s not sure. As for great great grandchildren, she isn’t sure about that either but I think there are 8 just through my Grandma (with one more very soon!). Great Grandma Francom has ten children.  I’m not sure exactly how many the other 9 children had, but my Grandma (who is Grandma Francom’s first child) had ten children as well. Grandma Francom has some neat stories because, aside from raising ten children, she came to the US from Germany as a young child when immigrants still went through Ellis Island. I wish I could remember more details. I will have to ask to hear them again and write them down!

I am happy we got a few good pictures, even if we’re all looking in different directions and our hair is blowing all over (it was a very blustery day).

I started writing this post about a week ago and hopefully I will finish it today. I needed Adam’s help to figure out how to put the pictures in.

I was looking at our blog and noticing that we haven’t posted any pictures of Adam or other people besides Hyrum and me. As you’ll notice with these pictures, most of our pictures have Hyrum in them even if anyone else is in them as well…

We don’t have very many pictures of Adam since he is usually the one taking them, but here is one from our visit to the park. It isn’t that wonderful since I was the one taking it. But aren’t they so cute? Adam is such a great daddy :) Adam and Hyrum at the park

Hyrum loves his aunts… and his uncles and grandmas and grandpas, etc… And they love him very much, too. He is such a lucky little boy. Last night (actually several nights ago now), my sister Marie came over and she and Hyrum had so much fun together. Hyrum was a little shy at first, as he often is even with people he knows well, but soon he was running all over the house, turning in circles and upside down and having giggling fits.

Here are some pictures from Easter weekend of Hyrum with my sister Carina. Despite what it looks like, Hyrum’s finger is not in his nose, just touching it.

And one of Hyrum surrounded by three of his adoring fans, my sisters (Carina is tickling him-sorry you can’t see her) and my grandma. You can see that he adores them, too :) Hyrum with Marie and my Grandma
