Yes, I know it has been a long time since I said I would do this, but here it is at last.  Here are the long promised pictures of the apron that I made with much needed and appreciated help from Susan, Adam’s mom, and my Grandma.  Thanks so much for your help.  It was my first sewing project that I did on my own (well, not completely on my own– as I mentioned I did have some expert help, but at least I did all of the sewing on my own).  It was a very cute but also difficult pattern and I learned a lot doing it.  Now I just need to sew something else before I forget everything I learned.  Here’s looking forward to more sewing projects and more reasons to request your help (with the projects that is, not so much the problems).

Here’s how it looks when I’m holding a cute baby.  And as a bonus you get to see how cute and big Annie is getting.  She’s learning so much!  That’s another post though.

And here is how it looks when I’m withholding the privilege of pushing the camera remote control button from Hyrum and standing in the perpetual mess that is our kitchen.  I do clean it, pretty much every day.  But you wouldn’t know.  Okay, so it doesn’t get entirely clean everyday but I work on it everyday at least.   And there are fleeting moments when it is entirely clean (as entirely clean as our kitchen ever is, that is).

I did eventually let Hyrum push the button.

And looking at these pictures reminds me… I received some starter for Amish friendship bread if anyone would like some.  I’ve developed my own system so I don’t have to make as much or find people to pass it along to every time (you make it every 10 days).  Plus I also tried making it more healthy this time and, at least in my opinion, it turned out yummy.  So if anyone would like some starter, I’d be happy to pass some along.
